Coach Brett's Bio

Coach Brett is a born and raised native of Virginia Beach. This is his first season with Outbreak. He began his volleyball career at Salem High School as a starting setter and went on to play club volleyball at Old Dominion University. During his time at Salem, Brett also played varsity baseball.
After graduating high school, Brett went on to play club volleyball at Old Dominion University. He was a starting setter all four years where he led his team during multiple tournaments at JMU, VT, UVA, and VCU. While at Old Dominion, he was coaching club volleyball at Coastal Hampton Roads. Brett graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. He is currently working as an Exercise Physiologist at a physical therapy clinic in Virginia Beach. He plans to pursue his CSCS and become a strength and conditioning coach.
Brett has a love for the game of volleyball like no other and wants every athlete to excel and be the greatest they can be. He strives to push every athlete to the best of their ability and wants to see them playing at the next level. He drives to help athletes understand that the game of volleyball is not only a physical game, but it is even more of a mental game.
