Coach Kyra's Bio
"Volleyball has given me an outlet to be myself inside and out. It has taught me many lessons to take into life, the greatest one is that when you fall you get back up and keep pushing!"
Coach Kyra, a native of Richmond, Virginia, has a passion for volleyball which started at 13 and has grown over her years, ultimately leading her to play at the collegiate level.
After coaching summer camps at Richmond Volleyball Club for the past 5 summers, she is ready to bring those years of experience working with young volleyball players to Outbreak. Coach Kyra is entering her first-year coaching for Outbreak. She is bringing her years of playing & coaching experience with the hope of passing the love she has for volleyball onto her players.
Kyra played travel volleyball for Richmond Volleyball Club, on the national travel team for 6 years starting at 13s through 18s. She competed for four years on the Atlee High School varsity volleyball team in Richmond where she earned Regional Player of the Year honors as a senior and was also a first-team Virginia High School League (VHSL) All-State honoree. Coach Kyra was also named first-team All-Conference, first-team All-Region and first-team All-Metro. She was then recruited to play Division 1 volleyball at Norfolk State, where she played for 2 years before transferring to VCU.
