Coach Megan's Bio
“Be thankful for what you are now, and keep fighting for what you want to be tomorrow”
Coach Megan is a Killeen, Texas native and this is her first season with Outbreak. She began her volleyball career at the age of 10 where she played for the Pacifica Rip Tides 13s team. Her love for volleyball continued to grow as she went on to High School and was a 3-year letterman and was nominated 1st team all-district as an outside hitter each year, she also received hitter of the year award all three years. During her time at Ellison High School, Megan also played varsity basketball.
Upon graduating High School, Megan was recruited by Temple College where she continued her volleyball career as the starting Outside hitter for the next two years. While playing at a collegiate level, she was an assistant coach for the Killeen Juniors Volleyball Club 17s team. Currently, Megan is working towards her personal trainer certification while pursuing her degree in early childhood education. Megan is a passionate coach who seeks to develop her players abilities into becoming well rounded individuals. Her coaching philosophy is built around building the fundamentals, motivating to bring out the best individual effort and requiring a team approach from all players. Coach Megan focuses on embracing the process of growth, which entails focusing on how to get better every day to succeed later.
